2017 Programme

Saturday, 25th March: Summer weekend opening begins.

Easter Monday, 17th April: A day of fun and interest for the family with bread making opportunities with a mobile bakery.

Saturday, 13th May: An illustrated talk on The English Windmill and our Wimbledon Common 'Icon' will be given by Mildred Cookson of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings. The talk will be free and will take place at the London Scottish Golf Club at 2.00 p.m.

Saturday, 17th June: Wimbledon Village Fair. Come and visit our stand.

Saturday, 5th August: Family Activity Day. Free family activities including preparing and cooking flatbread, making kites and learning about model-making from our Curator, Norman Plastow, who made all the museum models.

Sunday, 10th September: Commons Open Day. A fun day for all the family, based around the Rangers' office and the Information Centre. From 10.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. See www.wpcc.org.uk for more information.

At the Windmill we will have a free 'Drawing and Dough Factory' event for children as well as flatbread making. Come along and join the fun.

Tuesday, 10th October, 5 p.m.: Bookfest. Our Hon. Curator, Norman Plastow, will give a talk on the fascinating history of Wimbledon Windmill and the Common. For tickets and further details see www.wimbledonbookfest.org .

Saturday 16th September : London Open House Day. The Windmill Museum will be open for extended hours from 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Our Honorary Curator, Norman Plastow, is in attendance to explain the history of the mill and the surrounding area, as well as all the exhibits. Saturday 16th December : Carol Concert at the mill Join us at 3.00 p.m. to get in the festive spirit, with a band, all your favourite carols and free mince pies and hot drinks.
